Have you ever heard that little voice in your head nagging you to be ‘more productive’?  A constant monologue telling you to ‘do better’? 

 

That voice was my constant companion for many years. I worked as a project manager in a fast-paced workplace, living in busy central London and never letting myself slow down, even for a moment. As a Londoner, my standard answer to “How are you?” was “Busy!”. Almost as if I wore ‘my life is non-stop’ as a badge of honour…

Balance on and off the mat. 

I was no stranger to feeling stressed. Anxiety and I had known each other since my teen years. This is when I found the practice of yoga. I fell in love.

 

Yoga was more than just moving my body; it was about carving out time to relax my mind and find focus outside the stressors of everyday life. I’ve been practising yoga for a decade—and now I get to share my passion with you. 

 

From my love of yoga, I began craving the balance I found in my practice in other areas of my life.

 

This led me on my holistic health journey.

Remember that voice I spoke about earlier?

The one that was nagging me to ‘be more productive’. Well, I decided to challenge that. Instead of only doing things that made me feel productive or like I was constantly achieving something, I decided to slow it right down. I decided to start doing things that just made me feel GOOD- simple as that. 

 

Think of it like kids on a playground. Running around, playing on the monkey bars, and seeing how high they can go on the see-saw. They don’t care whether or not they’re particularly ‘good’ at these things. They don’t care if they fail. They just give it a go. 


When we turn the ‘productivity’ narrative on its head like this and do things ‘just to try’ rather than to ‘achieve’, something truly magical happens. We let go. We free ourselves from the guilt that so often tags along with downtime and self-care.  We begin to view our health journey with curiosity and fun rather than seeing the journey as a burden.

 

That’s when powerful change occurs.

As you’re more than likely aware, the health and wellness industry is flooded with ‘toxic’ messaging. We’re constantly bombarded with unrealistic beauty standards and asked to set impossible health goals. I’m on a mission to change this narrative. 

At Reset and Glow, we’re changing how we look at our health. We’re widening the lens and looking at our health in a holistic, compassionate way.

 

Reset and Glow exists to reimagine health and wellness to give women the power to take control of their bodies, minds and souls. Through small lifestyle changes and building better habits, we carve out a new path to a healthier, happier life.
